Patrick Schwerdtfeger visits the Taj Mahal

by Roohi Moolla on July 22, 2010

Patrick Schwerdtfeger, Author of the famous “Webify Your Business” book, and a prolific author and international speaker, will be a keynote speaker at SocialBiz this October.

He’s in India right now, speaking to a group of Travel Agents in Delhi and Jaipur about Marketing using Social Media.

I spoke to him via email just a few minutes ago, and asked what he thinks about his experience over there.

I know he won’t mind if I quote his response:

“What do I think?  I think it is truly incredible.  Just the sheer number of people is astounding, but somehow, it all seems to work.  It’s truly amazing.  And as for the Taj Mahal … wow!”

I was lucky enough to travel to India in 1980 with my family.

It’s truly a quixotic juxtaposition between the garbage on the ground, squalor and miles of “jughees” where the poorest of the poor live in cardboard boxes with little water and few resources, to the technology corridors of Bombay, Bangalore and Chennai and incredible history and beauty of places like the Taj Mahal and Fatehpur Sikri, and enormous mansions of some of the richest people in the world…

Check out Patrick’s video here on his tour of the Taj Mahal.
